In 2018, Tinalley String Quartet initiated a new Pop-Up concept. The Pop-Up has two facets, the first is to engage with audiences informally and in unusual locations, and the second is to fundraise for charities close to our hearts.
The first Pop-Up raised funds for Drought Angels, a small charity that offers personal assistance to farmers affected by drought. Earlier this year, in stark contrast, we raised funds for flood affected areas of Northern Queensland, through the Australian Red Cross.
Given the horrific drought gripping parts of Northern New South Wales and Queensland, and the terrible fires ravaging both states, in 2020 we will organise Pop-Up Events for fire-affected communities in rural Australia.
This Christmas, we ask that you consider giving to a charity close to your heart, as a simple gift can make the world of difference.
