The Quartet is thrilled to announce details of its 2016 Season.  Inspired by a new artistic vision, Tinalley has curated a Season which has a little something for everybody   …   a new song cycle by brilliant young composer, Ade Vincent in collaboration with one of Australia’s finest independent singer/songwriters, Lior   …  ‘Compassion’ reimagined by iconic Australian composer Nigel Westlake for Tinalley and Lior   …   a new interpretation of Beethoven’s Quartets, the words of this tragic figure brought to life by celebrated actor, John Bell   …   quartet movements rarely performed yet so familiar, such as the Barber Adagio in its original conception and Dvorak’s rousing Cypresses   …   and two of the string quartet’s most beloved works, Ravel’s effusive String Quartet and Mendelssohn’s Opus 13 Quartet.

With performances in the intimacy of the Utzon Room at the spectacular Sydney Opera House and the majestic Elisabeth Murdoch Hall in the Melbourne Recital Centre, the Tinalley String Quartets 2016 Season promises the extraordinary.
